New US advisory angers UK

Updated on : Monday, October 04, 2010

LONDON: New US travel advisory for Europe has left UK intelligence officials wondered after increased drone attacks in Pakistan, Geo News reported Monday.

The intel officials were of the view that there was nothing extraordinary in the advisory and level of threat has not been raised, adding that such advisory was also issued after Mumbai attacks.

According to a UK daily, US has not shared any such information with the security agencies. Soon after Mumbai attacks US also issued such warning that the terrorists were planning to attack Europe.

UK has expressed anger over US for leaking the information in public rather than taking up the issue with the authorities.

Meanwhile, a senior UK police officer said that the country was not prepared to face such tragedy.
