Thousands of people, including foreigners, welcomed the New Year 2010 in New Zealand’s capital city Auckland.
In Australia, the skies lit up with a spectacular display of fireworks over Sydney Harbour as 1.5 million revellers took part in one of the world's biggest New Year's Eve parties and welcomed in 2010.
