Updated at: 1350 PST, Saturday, March 28, 2009SYDNEY: Artists and their fans attended the colourful ceremony of MTV Music Awards held here at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre where awards in various categories were given.The Awards kicked off with a spectacular live performance of Spaceman by The Killers and, host Pete Wentz was joined by a surprise guest wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz. Former Australian idol Jessica Mauboy won the Favourite Aussie award while Get Shaky Vicious got the Best Dance Video award.Thousands of fans were present on the occasion of the Red Carpet to get a glimpse of the artists.
